Using Avobenzone as a full spectrum UVA sunscreen, Silasoma encapsulates the Avobenzone in a 100% silk protein. The Avobenzone silk protein creates a barrier between the skin and the sunscreen preventing any irritation. Silasoma altogether eliminates the skin irritation that may be caused by Avobenzone, because the Avobenzone never comes into direct contact with the skin.
