Plant Girls: The Spice Girls Just Got a Vegan Makeover—Here’s Why We’re Obsessed

If you grew up belting out Wannabe into a hairbrush, you already know the Spice Girls weren’t just a pop group, they were a movement. And now, they’ve been reimagined with a fresh, plant-powered twist. Meet the Plant Girls, a playful yet purposeful campaign from Chella Beauty and the Vegan Women Summit (VWS) that blends ’90s nostalgia with today’s clean beauty values.

Instead of pop stars, the Plant Girls are real-life changemakers. Dr. Danielle Belardo becomes Baby Plant. Journalist and TV host Sharon Carpenter takes on the polished role of Posh Plant. Joanne Molinaro steps in as Sporty Plant, and Scary Plant goes to Chef Priyanka Naik. And rounding out the group is VWS founder Jennifer Stojkovic as Ginger Plant, bringing leadership, boldness, and a whole lot of spice.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Chella campaign without a little glam. The launch of the Plant Girls coincides with the debut of Chella’s Pathfinder Palette, a limited-edition vegan eyeshadow palette that’s as gorgeous as it is ethical. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and made without harmful additives—something Chella’s CEO, Chris Kolodziejski, is deeply committed to.

What we love most about this campaign is how it bridges the past and the present. It’s fun, it’s bold, it’s unapologetically nostalgic, and yet it’s rooted in modern values like sustainability, diversity, and ethical beauty. The Plant Girls prove that you can celebrate the glitter and glam of girl power while using it to drive meaningful change.

So, are you ready to spice up your makeup bag and support a cause? We are. And we’ll be humming “If you wanna be my lover…” while we check out with our Pathfinder Palette.
