As the month of June comes to an end, we want to continue to honor & celebrate all of the beautiful people in the LGBTQ+ community. This month is dedicated to celebrating our differences as individuals and the freedom to love whomever we want to love. It is imperative we celebrate this month, if we want to move towards a world full of acceptance and love.
While this is a wonderful time for people to come together, enjoy festivities, and feel the love, Pride is also dedicated to everyone struggling to come out, those who are still unsure, or those who remain silenced by judgement and prejudice. Here at Chella, we strive to create an environment that makes everyone feel safe, heard, beautiful, and loved. We stand as allies with everyone, whether you are able to be out or not.
We encourage others to be good allies by celebrating your friends & family, going to events, educating yourself on important issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community, and advocating for change. This year might be different when celebrating Pride Month, but there are a plethora of great ways to get involved like participating in marches, volunteering at events, making monetary donations to organizations fundraising for the LGBTQ+ community, and voting.
Here are some organizations to donate to:
The Transgender Law CenterLive Out Loud
Human Rights Campaign
True Colors Fund
National Black Justice Fund
At Chella Beauty, we are committed to inclusivity and embracing diversity. We all deserve to feel beautiful and loved, and from everyone at Chella to the LGBTQ+ we stand with you in celebrating Pride Month! You are beautiful. You are loved. You are something to be celebrated, Happy Pride Month!
It’s not too late to show your pride at some fabulous Pride Month events! Some events will even extend out to October, due to COVID-19! Check it out: All the U.S. cities hosting in-person Pride events in 2021 (mashable.com)
